LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Two women were rescued from the Harmon Wash near Paradise Road following a day of rain across the Las Vegas valley, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

The fire department received reports around 4:15 p.m. on Friday that a man was trapped in the tunnels of the Harmon Wash with water levels rising. Crews were able to locate two women in the wash and pull them out safely, a spokesman for Clark County said.

The reported man was located in swift-moving waters; however, crews were unable to get to him from the flood control channel. Rescue efforts in search of the man ended shortly after 7:20 p.m. on Friday after crews lost visual contact with him. Rescue crews are set to resume a search for the man downstream on Saturday, according to Clark County.
