EXETER — Exeter High School head coach Bill Ball said Friday's Division I home showdown against Dover was a "big game" for the Blue Hawks.

The Blue Hawks, with contributions from all three units, reestablished themselves in the win column with a 14-0 win over the Green Wave at Exeter High School, putting an end to a two-game losing streak.

"Like I told the guys, we're not thinking about playoffs," Ball said, as the team focused on the task at hand. "This is Exeter football; it's a program win and that's what we needed."

After dropping a 31-21 game to rival Winnacunnet in Week 4, then a 42-7 loss at Bedford a week ago, Exeter got back to playing Exeter football in a key area, which Ball described.
