HAMPTON - Not many people gave the Winnacunnet High School football team, missing two starters on its offensive line, a chance when it hosted undefeated Manchester Memorial in a key Division I East game on Friday, Oct. 10 at Alumni Field.
Someone forgot to tell that to head coach Ryan Francouer and his Winnacunnet players.
Winnacunnet scored the game's final 10 points, all in the fourth quarter, and none were bigger than Sullivan Duffy's walk-off, 18-yard field goal that gave the Warriors a 30-27 come-from-behind win which sent the players, coaches and fans into a jubilatory frenzy.
