Synopsis: A Bengaluru auto driver, Pavan HS, was arrested on 10 October for allegedly abusing and threatening a North-Eastern woman after she cancelled an Uber ride. The victim shared the incident on Instagram. Uber is also investigating the matter, calling the behaviour “extremely concerning.”

Bengaluru police, on Friday, 10 October, held an auto driver, for allegedly abusing a North-eastern woman in the city, for cancelling a Uber ride.

This comes, a day after another woman shared a disturbing incident she encountered while taking an Uber ride.

According to The Hindu report , the driver has been identified as Pavan HS, a resident of Gunjur and a native of Mandya. He has been remanded in judicial custody.

The woman, on 2 October, shared the details of the incident on her Instagram.
