Feeling the crunch: Big Apple Crunch highlights local produce

OAKFIELD — It was the bite heard around the world — or at least the playground.

Some 350 Oakfield-Alabama Elementary School students gathered Friday afternoon in front of the school’s playground, joining students across New York in taking a big, collective bite into New York’s fresh fall fruit.
