Sally Wainwright's latest television series, Riot Women, airs this weekend. The show is set to be a hit with audiences - and the multi-BAFTA award-winning writer says the drama "looks gorgeous on camera".
Known for her work on Happy Valley, Last Tango in Halifax and Gentleman Jack, the 62-year-old's newest six-part series takes place in Hebden Bridge, with much of the action filmed in the town and surrounding areas.
The first episode will be broadcast on Sunday, October 12 on BBC One, and the series will also be available on iPlayer.
The show centres around a teacher, a police officer, a pub landlady, a midwife and a shoplifting freeloader - five menopausal women who form a punk rock band to compete in a local talent contest.
The Riot Women band comprises Joanna Scanla
