A substitute teacher became intoxicated on cocaine that she mistook one of her students for her dog. Melissa Martin, 47, pleaded not guilty on Thursday to charges of cocaine possession and reckless endangerment after she was caught with cocaine while on the job.

Police were called to the Vermont primary school in the US on the morning of October 1 following reports of an adult "under the influence of drugs", Barre Town Police Chief William Dodge said.
