Neighbours were forced to evacuate after an army bomb squad was called following the death of a man in a Derbyshire village.

Derbyshire police were called to the sudden death at a property in Church Lane, Horsley Woodhouse, at around 7.30am on Friday, October 10.

Concerns were raised about potentially dangerous items in a shed at the property when officers arrived.

As a result, Church Lane was closed between the junctions of Stainsby Avenue and Calladine Lane and around 50 properties were evacuated.

The Explosive Ordnance Division - better known as the bomb squad - later attended and examined two sheds at the property.
