The controversy surrounding the 2025 Asia Cup is far from over. Despite India’s victory over Pakistan in the final, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chairman and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi continues to stir tensions regarding the tournament’s trophy handover.

According to reports, the Asia Cup trophy currently remains at the ACC headquarters under Naqvi’s directive, with orders that it should not be moved or handed over without his approval. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has expressed strong disapproval of Naqvi’s actions and intends to raise the issue with the International Cricket Council (ICC).
