New Delhi: Shubman Gill slammed a brilliant knock of an unbeaten 129 in India’s first innings on Day 2 of the ongoing second Test against West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Saturday. Gill continued his red-hot form in the whites with his 5th ton in Test cricket since replacing Rohit Sharma as India’s captain in the longest format earlier this year.

The Indian captain notched up his hundred off 177 balls in the 130th over of India’s first innings on Day 2 and finished with an unbeaten 129, laced with 16 fours and 2 sixes. It was Gill’s 10th hundred in Test cricket and fifth in 2025 as he equalled the record of the legendary MS Dhoni and surpassed former captain Rohit in an elite list.
