Frederick Milton Alakaihu Contrades

Frederick Milton Alakaihu Contrades passed away on Oct. 21, 2024, at the age of 61. He was born in Lihue on Feb. 21, 1963, and was the owner of Alakaihu Home & Building Maintenance Services, formerly S&F Home & Building Maintenance Service.

He was preceded in death by his father Waldemar John Contrades Sr.

He is survived by his mother Patsy Contrades, son Jerich Rivera-Contrades, daughters Leiana (Jared) Salakielu, Ashley Contrades, Chanelle Estenzo Contrades, brother Waldemar Contrades Jr., sisters Leila (John) Kaneholani, Ruby (Floyd) Sugimura, Lola Rodriguez, grandchildren Kalea‘Okamea Contrades-Kona, Kai‘lea Contrades-Salakielu, numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at the Anahola Clubhous
