MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Safe Task Force has been active for nearly two weeks. The question is, do Memphians actually feel safer? FOX13 spoke with people who understand the work the task force is doing. Some said they're still seeing serious crime in their neighborhoods, even with the task force working in the areas. FOX13 spoke with neighbors in Fox Meadows who told us that, while they see officers patrolling the road, they don't see them directly, which is why they think crime can become so severe. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said that, in the short time the task force has been in Memphis, they've made more than 500 arrests and have confiscated nearly 150 illegal guns.
