MEMPHIS, Tenn. - One man has died and two people have been detained after a shooting on Lester Street in Binghampton, the Memphis Police Department said Thursday.

Just before 5:45 Thursday afternoon, MPD said, officers were sent to a shooting call on Lester St. in Binghampton. Police said they found a man there who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Memphis Police said their preliminary information suggests that the shooter and the victim knew each other, and officers have two people detained.
