CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) -- The City of Carbondale is inviting residents to share their ideas for future projects and improvements. This initiative is part of the city's effort to enhance neighborhoods and the community.

Every fall, Carbondale seeks community input to help develop its Five-Year Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The CIP outlines construction projects for the next five years, focusing on infrastructure such as streets, sidewalks, and drainage improvements.

The CIP does not cover maintenance issues like potholes or tree trimming. These can be reported to the Public Works Department by calling (618) 457-3275 or using the SeeClickFix app.

The Engineering Division will review all project suggestions, which will then be evaluated by the City Council in November. The CIP draft
