MALAPPURAM: The Calicut University campus has decided to suspend classes indefinitely in the wake of the violent incidents. The college authorities announced that all classes were suspended until further notice. Students have been instructed to vacate the hostels.

The violence on the campus has been going on since Friday evening. Vice Chancellor Dr P Raveendran said that the action was pertinent to restore peace and protect the lives of students.
