WINDSOR — There were no hot-button issues or sharp differences that arose among the three candidates running for the Weld RE-4 School District Board of Education during a public forum Oct. 7 at Hollister Lake Elementary School.
Instead, the 50 or so people in attendance listened to explanations of how each of the three candidates — incumbents Lance Nichols and Raymond Ruth and challenger Christopher Kiraly — would address the biggest issues facing the district: rapid population growth, fiscal constraints, student safety, and staff compensation and retention.
