HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - In just a few hours, runners will head to the start line for the Eversource Hartford Marathon and they will take on the streets of the capital city, and many surrounding towns too.

Runners are already showing up getting ready for 26.2 miles.

The first race will kick off at 7:55 a.m. on Saturday morning. That’s for the marathon and half marathon wheelchair athletes.

Then at 8 a.m., runners participating in the half marathon, marathon and 26.2 mile relay race will take off from the start line.

Right after that the Charity 5K will start and then at 9:30 a.m. and the kids fun run will get started.

After all that, the fun doesn’t stop. There will be food vendors and a beer garden in Bushnell Park for runners to celebrate.
