There was little movement in the unemployment rate in Newfoundland and Labrador last month.
Nationally, the rate held steady at 7.1 per cent while provincially, it dropped to 10.6 from 10.7 in August. PEI jumped to 9.7 per cent and New Brunswick 8.1 while Nova Scotia’s unemployment fell to 6.2 per cent.
There wasn’t much change in the metro region either with the new figure at 6.9 per cent, down from 7.0 in August.
