The GOP chair for House District 10 has filed a legal complaint against Boulder County Clerk Molly Fitzpatrick, alleging election insecurity that violates state law.

The complaint from William DeOreo argues that the security cameras at eight ballot drop-off locations throughout the county do not sufficiently monitor the ballot boxes. DeOreo, who lost the HD10 race in 2023 to Junie Joseph, filed a similar complaint in 2022 that was dismissed and one in 2024 that he withdrew. Like that one, the newest complaint specifically says that the lighting and/or camera placement at these remote drop-off locations is inadequate.
