Following a presentation to the Tusayan Town Council in late July, as well as the Coconino County Board of Supervisors in August, the project team for the Tusayan Drainage Master Plan will present another update on Tuesday , Oct. 14 .

The selected flood mitigation measures within Tusayan and upstream on U.S. Forest Service land will be announced by the project team, allowing for the project to pursue grants to support the construction. The Tusayan Drainage Master Plan is being developed by Civiltec Engineering and JE Fuller Hydrology, which have identified a multitude of conceptual alternatives, including detention facilities, concrete channels, culverts, and underground storm drainpipe networks.
