BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said an earthquake was reported in Buncombe County early Saturday.
According to the USGS, the earthquake hit 4.7 miles northwest of Weaverville, NC at 4:52 a.m. It had a magnitude of 2.1 and a depth of 11 kilometers.
Officials mentioned that the earthquake was also 10.5 miles north northwest of Asheville.
