PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- KY 123 in Hickman County will close at mile point 0.36 starting Monday, Oct. 13, for a bridge replacement, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
The bridge over Little Cypress Creek, between KY 575 and KY 307 near the Nichols community, will be replaced. The current bridge has an 18-ton weight limit.
Contractors plan to demolish the existing structure and construct a new bridge. The project is expected to finish by the end of November, weather permitting.
Motorists should self-detour during the closure. Approximately 200 vehicles use this section of KY 123 daily.
