Ashbrook football puts state on notice with rout of Kings Mountain

The path to a Big South 5A/6A title runs through the 2200 block of S. New Hope Road in Gastonia.

Ashbrook football shed a couple of dubious streaks Friday night, Oct. 10, posting a dominant 43-7 win over Kings Mountain.

“A lot of people are talking,” said Ashbrook football coach Darius James. “But the biggest statement they wanted to make was that regardless of whatever, you have to line up and play us. That’s the attitude we want and the attitude we love to see.”
