NY1’s "Finding Home" segment features animals up for adoption around the five boroughs.

This week, we'd like to introduce Gertrude — a 7-year-old dog who loves cuddling and being close to people.

She's described as calm, affectionate and eager to meet new people.

For cat lovers, 4-year-old Zayd loves cheek rubs and lounging on the couch, but he also has a playful side.

Zayd spent time living with a young child, and would be a great addition to any family with kids.
