TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Pitt entered its trip to No. 25 Florida State (3-2, 0-2 ACC) with uncertainty on the status of All-American Desmond Reid. The star tailback had been listed as questionable on both Thursday and Friday’s availability reports — and was considered a game-time decision two hours before kickoff.

But the Panthers (3-2, 1-1 ACC) got a major boost moments before game time: Reid, who hadn’t seen the field since the first quarter of Pitt’s Week 3 matchup at West Virginia, was officially cleared to play against the Seminoles.
