SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police said a driver was arrested Friday afternoon after a hit-and-run crash on the east side left a motorcyclist injured.
According to SAPD, officers were called just before 5 p.m. to the 2800 block of Rigsby Avenue for reports of a crash involving a motorcycle.
Investigators said a 68-year-old man was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound when a white Buick sedan, traveling in the same direction, switched lanes due to heavy traffic. The Buick struck the motorcycle, causing the rider to crash and fall onto the roadway, police said.
The driver of the Buick then sped away without stopping to help the injured motorcyclist. Witnesses provided officers with the vehicle’s license plate number, which helped police locate the driver at his registered address,
