The Michigan Wolverines are gearing up to face the USC Trojans on Saturday night, and the matchup carries extra significance for a handful of players. There are eight players on the roster that hail from California, making this game a special homecoming and an opportunity to play in front of family and friends.
“We’ll talk a little bit as a team about guys going back to California but I don’t make it too much of a deal because at the end of the day, we’re going to somebody else’s place,” head coach Sherrone Moore said. “We’re excited about the opportunity for guys to go back home, see family and be close to their friends, but not making too much of a deal of it.”
