Avenue Supermarts, which operates the DMart chain of hypermarkets, reported a 3.9 per cent in consolidated net profit in Q2 of FY26 and a 15.4 per cent rise in revenue, driven by sale of foods.

The company reported net profit of ₹685 crore on revenue of ₹16,676 crore.

Like-for-like growth, a key metric for retailers, saw a slowdown at 6.8 per cent, compared to 7.1 per cent in the first quarter, an indicator of subdued consumption sentiments.

The company said that following the reduction in GST rates on several items of consumption, it had passed on the benefit of the lower rates to all its customers.

Revenue from sales per retail business area fell to ₹8,692 per square feet in the quarter from ₹8,779 per square feet in the first quarter.
