On Language: Let’s talk about sex and gender

An English professor and her supervisor at Texas A & M University were both fired as a result of a student surreptitiously filming the professor’s discussion of gender in children’s literature, the subject matter she was teaching.

As a former English professor myself as well as a supervisor of English professors, I am seriously troubled as to the how and why this professor and administrator were fired.
