BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Brownsville police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred on the expressway Friday night.

The crash happened at 11:05 p.m., at the 800 block of Expressway 83, near the Boca Chica exit.

Police say the pedestrian was walking along the expressway when they were struck and later died of their injuries.

The pedestrian has not been identified.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash stayed at the scene to cooperate with the police.
