Lake Charles, La. (KPLC) - Ethel Precht’s legacy of hope lives on as Open Gate Cowboy Church’s “Race for a Cure” continues to support local survivors in Cameron and Calcasieu parishes.
Ethel Precht turned her own breast cancer battle into a mission to help others. At 50, she launched a community breast cancer walk in 2004 to support local survivors in Cameron and Calcasieu parishes. More than two decades later, that mission continues to transform lives.
Open Gate Cowboy Church hosted a “Race for a Cure” fundraiser dedicated to cancer research and survivor support. Every dollar raised will be donated to the Ethel Precht Hope Breast Cancer Foundation at West Cal Cam Hospital.
“My life has been touched by cancer, and everyone else’s has as well,” said Mark Stagg, pastor of Open Gate Cowboy
