KENT — The Kent State Golden Flashes return to Dix Stadium today to face Massachusetts in the Mid-American Conference college football game. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m.
The Flashes (1-4, 0-1) have lost four straight games since beating Merrimack 21-17 in their season opener on Aug. 30. Massachusetts (0-5, 0-1) has lost nine straight dating back to a 35-7 win over Wagner last season.

Kent State hoping to get starting quarterback Dru DeShields back
Kent State quarterback Dru DeShields sat out last week's game against Oklahoma with a tweak in his hamstring. Interim head coach Mark Carney said earlier in the week the former West Branch High School quarterback was day-to-day.
DeShields split time at quarterback in t
