The Alabama Crimson Tide earned a hard-fought 27-24 win on the road at Missouri thanks, in large part, to fourth-down conversions.
The Tide (5-1), which has been stellar on third-down conversions all season, managed just 6 of 15 on third downs against the Tigers (5-1).
But the Tide came up big on fourth downs, converting on all three tries, including a fourth-and-8 and a fourth-and-goal.
“You just got to trust your guys,” DeBoer told ABC after the game. “We practice these situations all the time. We said a year ago and all offseason, we have to be great in critical positions and critical times, and, obviously, we could have done better at the end, but there were critical moments we made plays.”
