HURON COUNTY, MI -- Authorities are encouraging Michiganders to watch their tractors after discovering a multi-county tractor theft ring.

Multiple stolen vehicles have been recovered as Huron County Sheriff deputies continue an investigation into the theft ring.

Thus far, a 54-year-old Sebewaing man has been arrested in connection with the thefts, Huron County Sheriff Kelly Hanson said in a news release.

Jeffery Nunnery was taken into custody on Tuesday, Oct. 7, and charged for breaking into a shed and stealing a Massey Ferguson tractor in Rubicon Township.

Nunnery was arraigned Wednesday, Oct. 8, in 73B District Court in Huron County on felony charges.

Additional charges are expected to develop as the “lengthy investigation will continue,” Hanson said.
