Holywood actress Diane Keaton has passed away at the age of 79, her family confirmed. ‌

In a statement shared with PEOPLE, her loved ones revealed that Keaton died in California and requested privacy as they cope with their loss, reports the Mirror. ‌

The Oscar-winning actress was renowned for her performances in films such as The Godfather, Annie Hall, The First Wives Club, and Something's Gotta Give. She also collaborated multiple times with director Nancy Meyers on projects including the Book Club series. ‌
