CLEARWATER COUNTY, Idaho -- A Kootenai County Sheriff's Office deputy died in a UTV accident near Elk River on Friday.
According to the Clearwater County Sheriff's Office, calls first came in around 1:45 a.m. on Friday for an overdue person on a UTV.
A search began spanning from Elk River to Dworshak reservoir.
The missing UTV was found around noon near the South Fork of Robinson Creek by hunters who volunteered to help.
The UTV driver, 43-year-old Dale Law from Hayden, Idaho, was found dead near the UTV. He was a deputy with the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office.
The Red and Blue Foundation has set up a memorial account for Deputy Law's family at First Interstate bank. The foundation says all proceeds will go directly to the family.
