Calgary Flames fans are set to see their top prospect on the ice once again.
Defenceman Zayne Parekh will make his season debut on Saturday afternoon against the St. Louis Blues.
The 2024 first-rounder was sidelined for the Flames’ first two games.
The 19-year-old played one game in 2024-25 after turning pro, suiting up against the Los Angeles Kings and scoring his first NHL goal in the process.
Prior to joining the Flames, he put up his most productive season for the OHL’s Saginaw Spirit, scoring 33 goals and 107 points.
In 2024, Parekh won a Memorial Cup and was named the CHL’s defenceman of the year.
