Title: Canadian Fans Travel to Support Blue Jays in ALCS
Some Toronto Blue Jays fans are gearing up to cross the border to cheer for their team as it faces the Seattle Mariners in the American League Championship Series. These matchups typically attract a large number of western Canadian supporters to T-Mobile Park, and the excitement of the postseason is amplifying that enthusiasm.
To accommodate the increased demand, an additional sailing on the FRS Clipper ferry, known as the "Playoff Express," is being planned from Victoria to Seattle. Alex Simpson, a lifelong Blue Jays fan from Calgary, is traveling with five family members to attend Game 4 in Seattle. He is making the trip in memory of his father, Dave, who passed away this summer and shared a deep love for the game.
Simpson reflected on his father's passion for baseball, saying, "At times, being a fan of a sports team can be difficult. You go through losses, and you're emotionally connected to the team, and you want the team to do well, and you see the guys out there trying hard, and sometimes your hardness isn't good enough. So it's just incredible to see the team putting together such an effort. And I think he'd be really proud."
The best-of-seven American League Championship Series will begin on Sunday, with Games 1 and 2 taking place in Toronto before the series shifts to Seattle on Wednesday. Fans are eager to support their team as they pursue a championship title.
