(Gray News) - Award-winning actress Diane Keaton, known for her roles in “Annie Hall,” “Father of the Bride,” and “The First Wives Club,” has died, according to reports.
She was 79.
People was the first to report her death. They confirmed she died in California, and a spokesperson said her family has asked for privacy. No further information was provided.
Keaton’s legendary film career began in the 1970s when she starred in Francis Ford Coppola’s “Godfather” films as Kay Adams, Michael Corleone’s partner.
She worked extensively with famous film director Woody Allen, and starred as the titular character in Allen’s 1977 “Annie Hall.” Keaton won the Oscar for best actress for her role, which is said to have been modeled after her, according to Variety.
