The New England Patriots decided to bolster their depth for their upcoming Week 6 game against the New Orleans Saints. As was announced by the team on Saturday, running back Terrell Jennings and outside linebacker Truman Jones were both elevated from the practice squad to the game day roster.
Jennings, 24, first arrived in New England as a rookie free agent out of Florida A&M last offseason. The 6-foot, 217-pound runner spent the majority of his first season in the NFL on the Patriots’ practice squad, before being promoted to the 53-man roster. In total, he appeared in three games in 2014 and carried the ball 13 times for 33 yards.
