AUBURN, Ala. — Georgia football is on the SEC road for a night game at Auburn ’s Jordan-Hare Stadium.

The No. 9 Bulldogs had mixed results away from Athens in conference play under the lights last season, taking down Texas and losing at Alabama.

This is the first Georgia-Auburn game on the Plains at night since 2012, a 38-0 Bulldogs romp.

Georgia cornerback Daylen Everette started at Auburn in Georgia’s 27-20 win here in 2023.

“It’s a pretty crazy environment,” he said. “Their fans get loud. It’s probably going to be the same this week. It might be a little more seeing that it’s a night game. Just got to be ready for that.”

Adding to the atmosphere will be a halftime ceremony to retire 2010 Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton’s jersey. A light show also is planned.
