LOS ANGELES (KCAL) - A California family is fighting to free their loved one detained by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Family members say Mauricio Prado is the father of a Navy service member who was simply trying to find work when he was detained during a raid at a Home Depot.
Video from the man’s daughter appears to show border patrol agents putting the Santa Ana resident in handcuffs at the Home Depot on Edinger Avenue on Monday.
Prado’s wife says this was something that had been a constant worry for the family, but he insisted on leaving home to find work.
“They did not tell him why he was being detained. He does not have a criminal record or has any immigration case open,” Kristal Navarro, Prado’s daughter, said.
Prado’s oldest son is in the U.S. Navy.
