Zojila tunnel likely to connect by next year: CEC Kargil

Kargil, Oct 11: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohamad Jaffar Akhoon said that the Zojila Tunnel, one of India’s most strategic infrastructure projects, is likely to achieve connectivity by next year, with work progressing at a rapid pace.

Speaking to the reporters, the CEC said that he reviewed the ongoing works at Zojila tunnel and Zojila Axis along with Deputy Commissioner, Kargil Rakesh Kumar, SDM Drass, and officials of Project Vijayak and the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), said that dedicated efforts are being made to ensure uninterrupted progress despite challenging weather conditions.
