Petty theft: Brookpark Road

Officers responded at 10:28 a.m. Sept. 24 to Walmart regarding a suspected shoplifting incident.

A store asset protection employee said he observed a female suspect placing several boxes of sports trading cards on top of a purse inside her shopping cart, later concealing the cards in a shopping bag. The woman then walked past the cash registers without paying, according to a police report. The store employee stopped her as she began to exit the store.

The woman admitted to stealing the items and told the asset protection employee that her boyfriend had been in the store a few minutes prior and had stolen items, too, according to the report. Store security reviewed surveillance video and confirmed that a man had also taken some sports ca
