With pivotal games looming next week, the Lovejoy and Prosper Walnut Grove football teams didn’t get caught looking ahead.

The Leopards halted a two-game skid in commanding fashion against Frisco Independence, while Walnut Grove racked up 70 points for the third time this season. Anna maintained its spot in the district's top three after overwhelming Frisco Emerson, and Denison pulled even with Lovejoy for fifth place against topping Frisco Memorial.
