MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The Police Jury voted to ask for bids that would renovate the Restrooms in the Ouachita Parish Courthouse Annex Building.

The project would include replacing and modernizing the restrooms, which include converting some of them to be handicapped accessible.

“One of the challenges that we have is that the restroom floors are elevated several inches higher than the hallway and the corridor floors,” Architect Bill Land said. “So, we’re able to remove that elevation change and widen the doors and provide accessible spaces. For those, I think it means the world to be able to get into this building and have an accessible restroom.”
