SIOUX CENTER, IOWA -- The University of Jamestown women's cross country team turned in a solid performance on Saturday, placing sixth out of 17 teams in the Gold Division at the Dordt University Holiday Inn Express Classic. The Jimmies finished with a team score of 235.
Lydia Franson led the way for Jamestown, finishing 21st overall in a field of 150 runners. Franson set a personal record, completing the 6k course in 21:58.88. Every Jimmie runner who competed in the event set a new personal best.
Lilly Petty and Hallie Person placed 50th and 52nd with times of 22:51.55 and 22:53.53. The pair's previous bests were 24:26.3 and 24:06.4 respectively. Allyson Goodmanson crossed the line with a new PR of 23:02.52 while Kirsten Vander Kooi finished with a time of 23:24.73, a 1 minute, 25 second
