LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Miracle League of Louisville athletes join the UofL baseball team as part of Shriners Children’s College Showdown Youth Experience.
Miracle League of Louisville is a baseball league for children with disabilities to play baseball in a space where wheelchairs, walkers, physical and cognitive challenges can’t hold them back.
On Saturday, 150 Miracle League athletes took the field at Jim Patterson Stadium alongside the University of Louisville baseball team for a college baseball experience unlike any other.
Across the country, more than 250,000 children compete as part of the United States Miracle Leagues. The Miracle League was founded to remove the barriers that children with disabilities face and allow them to experience an authentic baseball experience.
