STONE COUNTY, Mo. — Authorities are asking the public to be on the lookout for a woman wanted in connection with an attempted murder in Polk County, according to a social media post from the Stone County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO).

The suspect is identified as Leona Johnston, 39.

She is believed to be on foot in the Cape Fair Curves or Edgewater vicinity, the SCSO says.

Anyone who sees Johnston is urged to immediately call 911.
