Wind advisory affecting Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Oregon until early Sunday morning

At 1:38 p.m. on Saturday, the National Weather Service released a wind advisory valid from 11 p.m. until Sunday 5 a.m. for Eastern Columbia River Gorge of Oregon.

The weather service comments, “West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected The Gorge and Simcoe Highlands.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” adds the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
